About Dr. Graham Garwood
I am a Boston area Licensed Clinical Psychologist whose current focus is on providing individual therapy to adults and young adults. While individual therapy is my current focus, my professional experiences include provision of couples, family, and group therapy as well as psychological and forensic assessment and evaluation work.
In addition to holding a doctorate degree in clinical psychology, I have engaged in specialized study in the areas of 1) understanding individuals within their social environment (psychoanalysis fellowship) and 2) understanding complex family relationship dynamics (certificate in child and family forensic issues). I bring this education and my previous work experiences (e.g., inpatient substance use treatment, psychological evaluation, community mental health, juvenile detention) to my present job of helping my clients achieve their goals in therapy. In working with Boston area individuals, couples, and families, the types of therapy I use include psychodynamic therapy, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and therapy informed by attachment theory. Please see below for further information about my professional experiences.
